by Franky for everyone
Operation Market Garden (sept. '44) was the biggest airborne operation in history! Many times this operation is also named together with the Battle of Arnhem but the latter one was a result of the first one!
Various organisations who wanted to commemorate this historical event, have worked together with 'the Screaming Eagles of WWII' to organise the first 'Airborne Memorial Walk'. The walk was organised on Sunday the 20th of september in the village of Eerde, which was a battlefield on itsself. The first paratroopers that liberated South-Holland landed here!
The walk was 15 km although there was a smaller version of 7,5 km as well. Walk along and see how things were in those days!

Did this with all my heart,
was there with all my heart,
walked there with all my heart,
can't describe it, Rod!
Felt like time shifting...

Yet, there's more to see since last time I promised to go and visit a museum
but something came in between!
Well, that's something which can still be done
and will be done eventually with the same spirit
and with all my heart,
AGAIN!!!!!!

Brothers forever....
